Hello, and welcome to Our Day!! We’re Hannah and Sarah, two twenty-something girls living in Seattle. We met as coworkers in 2024 and have since become close friends with way too many similarities. We love to go on adventures and take advantage of all the fun opportunities in the city!
We started Our Day after being laid off alongside most of our company in 2026. While running into many, MANY difficulties getting new positions, we set our sights on creating something we were passionate about. Throughout our friendship, we have had an ongoing inside joke that when we hang out (usually all day), it has an official title: Our Day. Many of Our Days are of a particular theme: watching Yellowjackets, going paddleboarding, cozy fall baking day, etc. When thinking about what to create together, the answer was right there— we wanted to bring Our Day, and the joy of spending time with others that comes with it, to the surrounding community.
We both love meeting people and trying all of the new and old bucket list items in Seattle. We combined these interests to build this community, and we are so glad you are a part of it!We know how hard it is to find friends if you’re new to a city, or to find new friends in a city in general— and maybe especially in Seattle (thank you, Seattle freeze). As people who have lived in Seattle for several years now, and who try to keep as up-to-date as possible on the new restaurants, events, and places popping up in the area, we hope that our opinions on how to make the most of your time in Seattle help you best explore the city and connect with others who want the same community.
As a subscriber to Our Day, we will send you 3 publications a month: a monthly newsletter with a general theme for a month, and two blog posts recapping surprise adventures we undertake according to the month’s theme. At the end of the month, we will host an event abiding by the monthly theme, and anyone is welcome to attend. There will always be a free event, because we want to make sure Our Day is as accessible as possible for people who want to try new things and expand their social circles in Seattle.Thank you for coming on this adventure with us— we can’t wait to see what this community has in store!
